Too much chocolate can kill you. This I am sure of.
This weekend was pretty awesome. I rescued Jen on Friday night and we rolled back to my pad, where we made some awesome chicken cacciatore with portabello mushrooms over fettucine and enjoyed a couple fabulous bottles of wine, including the Mark West Pinot Noir. Saturday, we were up early to meet up with Dave and Brooke to head to the infamous Chocolate Show over at 18th and 6th. I ate so much chocolate that I was bouncing around for hours. I’m talking chocolate samples, chocolate milk, aztec cocoa, chocolate peanuts filled with chunky peanut butter, crepes, ports….it just didn’t stop. After the show, we braved the pouring rain, and headed over to El Cid for a great Spanish dinner complimented with Sangria. After that dinner and the journey home, we were pretty much shot to hell.
Sunday, I basically just chilled and got random stuff done while Jen was at work, and later that night, we rolled over to the new Monster Sushi in Summit and rented The Sum of All Fears. Quality veg-out time. I liked it.
I was up at 5 am today for my weekly jaunt to Connecticut, although I did not witness any of the fabled Ice storm I have been hearing about. It is cold as all hell though. I hope to get home early and pass out promptly. I will need to make sure and wake up for the meteor shower though. Keep an eye out, east coast!
