Enjoying an iced coffee, post breakfast on my 49th birthday, and listening to my all time favorite radio host, Vin Scelsa on a podcast recording being interviewed by his daughter. My boys are coming over in a few hours to sing me happy birthday and I can’t wait.
Later tonight, having a low-key dinner with friends followed by some guitar playing at the house.
A few highlights of things I’m enjoying this week:
- Reading: This great article from one of my favorite entrepreneurs, Brian Clark, on how the Longevity Economy is unfolding for my generation. Check out, The Gen-X Factor.
- Watching: This weekend the second season of Asimov’s Foundation has launched on Apple TV, and I’m thrilled since I’ve now almost finished the third book in the series and I’m curious how they’re going to treat chapter 2. If you’re not familiar with the themes, I highly recommend it as its incredibly prescient.
- Listening: Lots of great stuff lately, new and old. Have been throwing things I like very much on this playlist in case you want to listen: My Country Is Your Country.
Thank you to everyone who has been a supporter, teacher, listener or collaborator in the last year. It’s been one of the hardest but also one of the most rewarding.
If you’ve come this far, as a birthday gift to me, I would love it if you could drop me a note on whatever platform suits you best, and tell me about a memory you have of our time together, a funny story, a serious story….whatever. I’ve found that nostalgia gets my creative juices flowing.
